In psychology, this phenomenon is when we greater recall our unpleasant memories compared with our positive memories.  We can also avoid events which have caused discomfort and negative experience in the past ( Wikipedia).

Key Rule is  Don’t judge yourself and others

Use the negativity to fuel the fire this can sometimes help because fear of negative experiences can sometimes get your arse in gear be careful though some people can’t coupe with this way of thinking and can get crushed by themselves and never fully recover.

“Exceptionally hard decisions can deplete your energy to the point at which you can finally cave in. If you mentally crumble and degenerate into negative thinking, you’ll magnify the problem to the point where it can haunt you.” – John C. Maxwell

I have met all sorts of people in my life and some just take life far too seriously who have too much doom and gloom in their attitudes.  Your attitude towards negativity determines your altitude after negative experiences If your circumstances consistently are getting you down then it’s time for a change not in your situation but your attitude and routines. If you can learn to remove the triggers for your negative emotions then you remove a formidable obstacle that stands between you and your dreams.
